SPBVA is a group of volunteers who are dedicated to commemorating and re-enacting the Mexican-American War Battle of San Pasqual, which took place on December 6, 1846. Our Volunteer Association partners with California State Parks to present the story of this event from the US Army, local Californio and Indian perspectives, to preserve the San Pasqual Battlefield State Historic Park and to illustrate our Association's activities over the last quarter century. The State Historic Park is located on State Highway 78, one mile east of San Diego Zoo Safari Park.
